My Morning Coffee…

On Thursday I was informed that I would be trading a new co-worker. I hate this, I also feel nervous when I need to do this… I don’t know why

Not looking forward to doing this I drag myself to work. I had 24 rooms to do with him. Thank God most of them were stayovers, because of an event going on that day (thought Sunday will be the bitch because they all will be checking out this day). Anyway, I get our cart ready and head out, keep in mind our rooms are outside, we are not an indoor hotel. Friday went pretty well. He pretty much followed me around and done what was needed.

Let me explain this a little bit. This guys is from India!! So, is the owner… explains a lot huh??? Aren’t they all???  We do have a couple that works there already and they are so sweet. They help out when needed and try to speak English, if they don’t know that something is they will ask what we call it. This couple is like family to me. I have worked with them for 6-7 months now and will miss them when they go back. BUT, this guy is just plain ANNOYING!!!!

Saturday was BUSY to say the least. We all had some where around 16-17 rooms a piece. So, you were moving your ass non-stop. Our supervisor runs him his own board with his list of rooms and off we all go. OH MY GOD it only gets worse here on out.

Around 1:00pm the supervisor comes flying into one of my rooms and asks me what the hell he did yesterday. I told her he made beds, helped gather trash, stocked rooms with me … and so on. My question to her was WHY???

Well, she went to check on how he was doing, the same thing she does to anyone who just started to make sure they weren’t having trouble with something … like the beds, they can be tricky if you don’t know how they are done. Anyway, I guess he wasn’t picking paper up off anything. LOL… if there was paper on the table he left it there…. OMG… common sense!!! He wasn’t making the beds like they should be, he didn’t put linen in the rooms, he wasn’t bagging his trash that he removed from the trash cans, yes… he pulled those….LOL. He would take the small trash can liners and THROW them out the door!!!! Well, you take your trash bag out of your trash can and THROW it out your door… whats going to happen???? Trash is going to FLY all over the place. Well, this is what happened here as well. THEN he expected SOMEONE ELSE to clean it up for him. What the Hell????

Well, when I finished my room I went to help him. When we help we are to make the beds and nothing more. The cleaning is to be done by the one who the rooms were assigned to. But, I will put the trash and stock the rooms after the beds are made so all they need to do is clean the bathroom, dust and vacuum. Holy shit, he had such a mess I had no idea where to start. It looked like he started a bathroom and then just left the room and went to the next and maybe dusted, left this room and went to the next room and done something there. There was with all his rooms. None for them were totally finished. All of us ended up redoing his 16 rooms.

You CAN NOT tell him anything. I had him the day before, Our supervisor walked him through a room in the morning, and others tried to explain what needed to be done, but it fell on deaf ears. He understands English, his problem is he’s STUBBORN!!! I think he was hired for the purposes of driving us all NUTS!!! Thank god I am off today. I can only imagine what today was like. I thought for sure our supervisor’s head was going to explode!! NEVER did I see her so close to snapping out as I did yesterday…. I don’t blame her. He was wearing every ones patience short. It would have been easier if we all had his rooms instead. We ended up doing them in the long run anyway….

And Sunday was just a repeat of Saturday, only worse because we have not recovered from the day before from dealing with his shit, we all still wanted to choke him.

To top it all off,  this guy is SUPPOSE to be a top housekeeper and all ready knew what to do when he came here…. I would love to know where and how!?!?!?

Does anyone stay home anymore??? LOL

Work has be a royal pain in the ass the last 2 weeks!! I swear to God we had anywhere from 70 to 130 rooms a day. The last 2 weekend been crazy. When we have something going on in Morgantown we get swamped. Lately we had at least 16 rooms a piece to do. AND… OMG have they been horrible. We found beer bottles behind the beds!! WTF??? Don’t know how to find the trash I am guessing. I know its hard to get up off your ass and walk to the trash can 6 feet from the bed. These rooms look worse then if 5 year olds were left a lone in them overnight … no lie. I have honestly seen teenager’s rooms that looked better when they checked out then their parents or guardians. Why can’t these people clean up after themselves just a little bit?? I wonder how they would feel if I went to their houses and make a huge ass mess and than just walk out the door and leave them to cleaning it. I am pretty sure they would be pissed. OK… I understand that I get paid to do this, but DAMN don’t be a PIG!! It sure as hell don’t make you look good. AND if you MUST make a huge ass mess than LEAVE A TIP for the poor soul that gets stuck cleaning it up. Its only right!!!

Example: I had 3 rooms with construction workers in them. When I went to strip and clean the rooms they weren’t that bad. They pretty much gathered everything up and had it where it should be. The worst part was the mud on the floor that could not be helped. Then I went to a queen room that had a couple in it. Their room was a DISASTER!!! Towels and paper slung all over the room. It looked like a bomb went off!!!!
